A native of Houma, Louisiana, Patrick Yancey obtained his Bachelor or Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. During the summers, he worked offshore as a roustabout for various offshore oil and gas operating companies.
After obtaining his engineering degree, Yancey worked with Mobil Oil both as an operations engineer and as a facilities engineer, where he spent a great amount of time offshore supervising numerous projects. After six years, Yancey resigned from Mobil Oil and enrolled in the Juris Doctorate program at Loyola University, New Orleans. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University and worked as a law clerk for Judge Edward J. Gaidry.
As a Trial Lawyer, Mr. Yancey treats each client with dignity and respect and utilizes all available resources to produce the best results that can be achieved for his clients.
Since 1996, Patrick Yancey has represented many people who have been injured or killed as a result of someone else’s fault. He has handled injury cases related to working offshore in the oil and gas industry, 18 wheeler crashes, car crashes, airplane/helicopter crashes, drilling rigs, tugboats, supply boats, jackup boats, diving vessels, derrick barges, pipe laying barges, industrial/refinery explosions and other industrial casualties, defective products, including defective medication and exposure to chemicals in the work environment, including asbestosis (which causes mesothelioma, a deadly form of cancer). In almost every case, the injury (or death) was preventable if the defendant party in the case would have followed the safety rules that existed to protect our client, which in almost every case could be you or me. The victims of rule violations are random; they could be anyone, anywhere, anytime.
Additionally, The Yancey Law Firm has served as Local Liasson counsel for and with nationally recognized law firms who specialize in class action claims protecting consumers and shareholders of corporations from fraud and negligent conduct of its directors. The Yancey Law Firm is proud to assist in producing justice for consumers who have been wronged. Personal Injury — Plaintiff
