Baton Rouge Man Dies After Car Strikes Parked Vehicle
In December 2024, a 2012 Mazda 6 stopped in the left lane of I-10 East near mile marker 211. The driver put the car’s hazard lights on and then got out of the car while the passenger remained in the front seat without a seatbelt on. A 2017 Nissan Sentra was driving in the same lane, and it struck the Mazda from the rear. The impact caused the Mazda to move forward and strike the driver, who fell over a guardrail and into a marsh.
